Well run, clean, comfortable, and central to the train and buses.The owner is great at communication, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I booked hotel through booking.com but had a problem with the payment through my account. After receiving a call from the hotel informing me that the payment did not go through, I foolishly paid via the link they sent me. I am still waiting for booking.com to acknowledge my original payment and refund it.Have been on customer service emailed them and phoned them no responsePhone keeps not recognise booking number this has become a painThe hotel was nice but won't be using this type of hotel again unless there is a reception

Booked as we were visiting York to see Jack Savoretti in concert in the Museum Gardens, perfect location for train station & venue.Compact modern spotless apartment with everything you need for a short break in the heart of the city.Communication good and easy self check in. Would definitely recommend.

I had an amazing experience and felt right at home. I was very impressed with the kitchen and washing machine, as well as the bedroom on the second floor. It was great that there was no hassle with staff, as these apartments are fully automated with no reception. Overall, it's a great place to stay.

This is mine and my partners 3rd stay here. We love it so much. Self contained apartment with all the amenities you could want. Within walking distance of all shops, sightseeing, transportation, everything. Fantastic oriental supermarket just round the corner aswell. Host got back to me quickly when I requested for another nights stay. Lovely person. We will be back again soon for our 4th visit I’m sure. We have stayed in a different apartment each time so we are hoping to complete the set haha. Only feedback I have from this visit (it wasn’t enough of an issue to bother the host about) was the blind upstairs did not work and there was a very faint smell coming from the bathroom but it really wasn’t bad at all.We got a hang of the convection hobs now finally hahahah. Very cute home away from home. Thank you for having us again.

Having had to leave my previous accommodation finding this little gem 💎 literally saved my trip and made the last stay in York so much better than my last two nights.The apartment is great, easy access into the main city,keyless check in and out, and no need to keep a key with you as everything is done via passcodeI will definitely book again if I am in York

Nice modern apartment, close to York city centre. Although compact, the place was sufficient for our one nights stay. There was pretty much everything you'd need for a short stay, except for just a single portion of coffee, would have expected at least 2 or 4.The parking was all full, so we had to use NCP down the road which cost us quite a bit, but only to be expected in a city.

The aparhotel was very clean and well equipped for self catering. The bedroom upstairs was bright and lovely and bathroom was clean modern.Downstairs was a bit dark but it was comfortable.A couple of the rooms had some maintenance issues llike cupboard doors and ceilings in need of repair but I’m sure they would get round to these eventually.Parking out front was great and the location was excellent, just a short stroll along the wall into the city centre.I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it was excellent value for money.

Found York Aparthotel to be a very easy walk from the railway station and into city centre. Apartment was very well presented with everything we needed. Fast foods and groceries short walk from hotel. Our unit did back onto a pub which was a bit noisy until 11.30pm on the Friday and Saturday nights.

Good first impressions when you open the door, and easy self check in. Everything you could need. Nice to have your own front door which feels secure. Quiet overnight. Stayed a couple of times now parking has not been an issue and good value. Myself and teenage daughter have enjoyed both visits and York is beautiful.

This place was the best accommodation we had in our one month journey to the UK. Would gladly stay here again. Very modern and up to date👍🏻🥰

Very nice stay, the room has everything you need, very well kitted out, will stay again. Ver clean and tidy in a great location.

Cooker too difficult to operate; I used the kettle to soak my morning noddles.A bit cold, but so was all of York; some Vikings have low BMI. Friendly host & staff, and much help from neighbour although not obliged.

Lovely apartments, would defo book again. Apartments are modern and very clean, they have everything you would need for a few nights away. Very close to York centre and within walking distance to all attractions, bars, restaurants etc. We had a lovely stay. Bed was very comfortable and very easy check in on arrival.

My wife and I have stayed in multiple residences around York but have never frequented such good value for money. Clean, well presented, expertly thought out. These apartments are simply are the definition of a home from home. Sad to leave - will 100% be back.

Apartment is situated in a good location, close to restaurants, pubs, attractions and short walk to train station. Had no problem parking even with the limited space , can get noisy early in the morning with surrounding businesses eg pub next door rolling kegs at 7:30 in the morning. Apartment was clean and nice personal touch with complimentary items such as tooth brushes. Would stay here again

Everything is wonderful with these apartments. Private entrance,all the comforts of home and in a perfect location. Our favourite place to stay when visiting York.

Nice clean apartment in good location.Everything you needed for a short stay was provided. We managed to get parked at the property which at £10 for overnight parking was a bargain for York. A couple of things to point out was the xpelair in the bathroom wasn't working and there was a definite smell of someone having smoked in the apartment. These are only small negatives and we would definitely book again.

So glad I found this place close to the centre and close to the station comfortable with everything you need 😁

We rented 2 apartments for ourselves and our friends.The apartments are modern, very clean,and with comfortable bedding.A 5 min walking distance from old city York.It was easy to access getting in.Highly recommended.There is no free parking, be aware you will have to pay for parking.

We had an overnight stay at the York Apart Hotel and really enjoyed it. The apartment was perfect for us, it had everything we needed, and is very well designed, making the most out of every inch of the small but more than adequate space. For around the same price, or cheaper than a B&B or Travelodge, you have a fully equipped kitchenette and a living space. Upstairs is a super comfy bed, with a nice en-suite shower room.There is limited parking outside at £10 per night,which is good value as opposed to the £26 at the nearby NCP.The next time we are visiting York, we will definitely book this place again.

Great location and had all the necessary amenities. It is directly behind a pub garden and noise can be heard but wasn't too bad. Bed is nice but could do with new pillows.

Stayed for 1 night and had an excellent stay. 1 bed apartment contains all you will need for a stay. Text Rex’s about 1pm with all access codes and check in procedures. Apartment was very clean and modern, bed comfy, shower great and WiFi good. Would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to friends and family should they stay in York.

A great find for an overnight stay in York with everything you needed close at hand. The apartment was compact, on two floors and very clean. The only that let it down was iffy electrics. In particular the expelair in the bathroom was not working and contributed to some unsightly black mold on the tiling in the shower which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the place.

I was caught up in Storm Babet so when I arrived in York, trains on both my onward route and the route back home, were all cancelled. Eeek! All other travel options were also unavailable due to floods/ and or price. I needed a room, and fast and I had very little budget.Apart Hotel came up as the cheapest option on Booking.com. It was local, so close to the train station, and the fact that it was way more than a room for the night, meant not only was I greatly relieved to get a room at all, it seemed fabulous value for what I was to get.Firstly, this is not a room, it’s like a mini house with its stairs up to it partitioning the kitchen, dining and livingareas, with a large double and en-suite at the other end of the flat.It was appealingly modern with its funky blinds over the wall of windows looking out into York, discrete light switches and lights that come on when you open a cupboard, oh yes. The bed was super comfy and the shower hot and powerful. It had everything I needed and after the chaos of the travel situation and not being where I needed to be, I proceeded to have an unexpectedly chilled retreat in the centre of York.It was so close to the station (five minute walk tops, and that was with a lot of bags) that my keypad entry details hadn’t yet arrived by the time I got there. I got straight through to the advisor/ owner? Who could not have been more helpful. I truly felt that if I’d had any difficulties at all, he’d have sorted anything, no fuss.I had a great experience and thoroughly recommend.

Walking distance into town and all amenities. Love staying at these apartments as they are like home from home . Even had a toasty maker which I used ! Little things matter when you’re away and things like the cereals and waters in the fridge make the best finishing touches !

Lovely place to stay

Absolutely spot thereone night will definitely stay again 💯

The room is pretty and great in every way. I particularly like the corner of the kitchen table and bedroom. Also the washing machine works perfectly, which is definitely a plus for a longer stay.

Only a short walk from the station and to river and central shopping/ cathedral area.Perfect size for a couple and sufficiently equipped to self cater if desired. Modern in style and clean on arrival. Check in via key code was very easy.Only down side for us was it was alongside a pub garden which was very noisy ( although rest of area was very quiet) until theearly hours of the morning on the first night as weather was good. However there is air con in the property so you can keep window closed to reduce sound.

This apatment was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. We appreciate the washer machine for our clothes. Everything in the apartment was working well. The location is perfect, it is close of the rail station and close of the centre.

A couple of things, no ariel wire on downstairs tv so had to move the one from upstairs. Hairdryer did not work, good job I brought my own and no hand towels. These could have been sorted. A couple that couldn’t be helped, a drunken man knocking on the door at 1am asking to come in and then the smoke alarm battery was beeping to be changed. A bit expensive.BUT a lovely place, near to everything, comfy bed, shower was amazing 😊

Everything was clean and modern, easy to get in with code, 7 mins walk away from main area of town and from station - loved the stair lightning - I think a microwave would be a great addition- one downside was its next to a pub - this did not bother me at all until 6.45 am when they took their deliveries which went on for about an hour and was very noisy - but if you are a very early riser this will not matter

Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and sparkly shower room.A smallish space, but fine as a base for exploring York. Lots of interesting technology! (Ultra modern!) We were initially concerned re.parking, but were able to park for £10 a night right outside.Some noise from the pub next door, but not a problem.

Wonderful little development of hotel rooms bang in city centre - perfect for an overnight stay. Clean, well appointed and comfortable. Easy to access with parking adjacent for small additional cost. A great location to stay in York.I booked 3 apartments for our group and everyone was very happy with their accommodation.They were clean, comfortable, warm and cozy and had plenty of tea, coffee, milk, toiletries and towels, etc.The opportunity to park at the property was a huge bonus and the fee was reasonable compared to other city car parks.We would definitely book to stay again.Only two little niggles is that apartment 8.3 smelt damp / musty on arrival and 8.6 had no washing up bowl or plug for the sink but as we only booked for 1 night it wasn’t a problem.

Lovely clean comfortable stay for 2 nights midweek, would definitely stay again, parking up was the only problem, had to wait untill cleaner Hazel had finished to get her parking space,she was a star very helpful.

Great place to stay in a nice looked after modern apartment in a nice area out of the way (not directly in the center but not miles away either) with all the mod cons. Clean, cozy and well accommodated. Effort clearly put into the whole build of the apartment from top to bottom and effort put into making guests feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again. A home from home.A few points. The chairs in the living room the legs were loose. I felt myself reclining back in one when I was sitting upright. I looked behind and beneath and saw the back leg was coming free from the frame. Also, I wasn't sure how I was getting into the apartment when ordering from Booking.com and did not receive confirmation until a little while after booking. This wasn't a problem but for anybody completely new to private hosts on that platform it might seem a little bewildering. Was I getting a key? If so, how? When? And where from if the apartments are self service? I received everything without fault shortly afterwards. Another point was there was no microwave. Not a deal breaker at all but a nice addition to self catering. I also couldn't get the WiFi to work either. If there was a captive portal on the wifi network to register device and/or login, I couldn't get it to work.Great place to stay for 1-2 people. You could easily stay here comfortably for a weekend or longer trip to York. And the price was very competitive and well worth it. Hotel rooms in/around the city comparatively were the same price and even more expensive on the day of booking the apartment. You are getting way more for your money staying here!

My first impressions were all good,with a well appointed space for one for my short stay.The kitchen space was compact, with everything I needed, and the bathroom had a powerful shower with plenty of hot water.The bedding was squeaky clean, the towels plentiful,and the bed itself very comfortable.Mystopp main issue with the apartment is its proximity to the outside sitting area of a Micklegate pub, and the late evening noise was considerably intrusive.Mercifully,on all three nights when I was aware of it, the noise stopped by 10.30.

Fundamental question- do you want an Apartment or hotel?Self catering or room service?Watch telly sat on a comfy sofa? or on your bed?It’s horses for courses. I prefer the roominess of an apartment and self catering - make what you want when you want.Some will always prefer a hotel.I stayed at the Aparthotel in centre of York. The location and layout is excellent. Tea/coffee/hot chocolate/real coffee (bags) even toothbrushes were provided.If you are waiting for a negative there is one ( sadly). The large wet room was very well equipped and big but it is already looking tired with a cracked tile and grubby grouting. All can be readily sorted, bad it did not detract from what an excellent facility this is.

Lovely clean little apartment. Bed was soo comfortable one of the best iv had at a hotel/ guest house etc.Shower was fab, the shower head wasn't fixed in place so I didn't get my hair wet.. important to us lady's!No bad points at all, cute clean little but enough.

We have just arrived back from a quick stop in this apartment in York. We stayed in room 8 we thought it was fantastic lovely and big had a full kitchen washing machine two tvs. Would be great for anyone staying more than just a night with all the facilities it provides. Loved it and I don’t think the location could be anymore Central easy to get to and parking at the apartment. This will be my new place to stay in York

An excellent apartment in a good location to explore all that York has to offer.The accommodation was good, well appointed and had many additional touches to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Having the living area separate from the bedroom is a welcome feature. The standard and quality of furnishings was good with the en-suite being larger than we expected which was a bonus.The only small criticisms I would have were:the television signal was poor offering limited choice of channels (possibly just needs retuned) and there was no milk for the cereals provided.We would certainly return when we next visit York and would recommend York Apart Hotel for a stay.

Stayed one night after a long drive to York. The apartment was clean and functional, well located for the city centre and parking was available at a reasonable price. We didn't use the cooking facilities but most essentials seemed to be catered for. I would stay there again at the price we paid.

Nestled in the heart of the city, these apartments are absolute gems. Perfect location, comfortable beds, everything you need. Fridge, cooker, washing machine. Definitely my go to place when inYork. Beautiful flower boxes too. Milk, cereal, biscuits and good coffee upon arrival. What more could you ask for?

We had a few issues and Richard offered all the help he could right away, solving our problems or doing his best to go above and beyond when things were beyond his control! We loved how quite it was, yet so close to the main attractions. We had an accessible studio apartment which was modern and clean.The only thing we didn’t like was the noisy air conditioner, but when that is fixed…perfect!Highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in York.

We visited York for the weekend, choosing York Aparthotel over many other hotels on offer. We are so glad we did. The apartment is absolutely perfect and well equipped. We slept extremely well, which is rare for me.Check in was speedy and easy, with no need for face to face contact.We had an issue with our TV, which was resolved by a replacement set being brought out and fitted New Years day! Nothing was too much trouble.We are looking forward to returning, and will certainly choose York Aparthotel 😀

Booked two units for me and my son. Great wee place to base yourself in for York. Close to shops, bars, restaurants. Walking distance to the trains. City centre very close and we walked everywhere as nothing was a far distance. Rooms were nice clean and modern. Nice touches also with milk, tea, coffee, ice, washing up soap and toiletries already in place when you arrive. I'll defo go again if I go to York.

The apartment met all my needs.It was short walk from the rail station and very close to all the city centre attractions. Plus it had one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!

Great location very clean spot on would stay again

We stayed here while we were in York for a hen night and we’re very pleased with the quality and service we got from Aparthotel.My first comment is that Richard communicated very well with us via text and the longest we waited for a response to any issue was twenty minutes. We received a text on the morning of our booking to let us know the room was ready and contained lots of useful information, including the WiFi and room codes. My first criticism comes here, which is that the directions given in the text were a little out of date and told to the apartments were beside a pub which had either changed names or wasn’t there anymore. However this only threw us for a minute, as the place has a sign outside.The rooms can sleep potentially 4, though we had two apartments which slept 2 each. Both contained a double bed upstairs and a double futon downstairs by the kitchenette. Given that the whole place is open plan, I’d recommend these either for a couple or friends that have very few secrets left, because there isn’t much privacy by nature of being open plan. The futon was surprisingly very comfortable, the bed clothes and pillows were cozy and clean. One of our apartments was missing the bed clothes for the futon, however this was swiftly rectified by a text to Richard, who let us know where we could get some out of the storage room, and he responded within a few minutes of the query.The kitchenette was well stocked and the living room nice and roomy considering the size of the apartment itself. The same can be said for the bathroom.Overall we were very pleased with this booking. The place was clean, comfortable and issues were resolved quickly and satisfactorily. Upon leaving all four of us said we will stay again, should we overnight in York in the near future.

Comfortable bed, nice flat layout, easy access, good comms with staff. Easy to find too. Free parking on the street at night otherwise pay the hotel for theirs. Better use hotel one if staying for days.

The apartment was tidy and clean, was in a fantastic location for town. The only thing that was a slight annoyance, was the noise from the beer garden next door.

A perfect place to stay for a couple of days in York (or more I'm sure) I loved it. Beats a hotel hands down. Great location a few mins walk from the station. A few minutes walk from the river and city centre. Easy check in/access. Beautifully laid out and equipped. Clean and comfortable.

We visit York every year and know the City really well, stayed across the road in The Grand once, did not know these apartments were there. A well kept secret....Nice folks ,very helpful, nice clean apartment .Even though the City was crammed with half termers the apartments were nice and quiet.We had a good stay, ????

Had a great couple of days. The apartment was perfectly situated for our plans. It had everything we needed and then some. Great space to relax and even better bed at the end of long day. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower had amazing pressure, loved all the mini toiletries. Can’t wait to stay again.

Ideal for what we wanted, close to all the places we wanted to visit and a huge choice of restaurants right on the door step. Very comfortable, with everything you needed for a cosy weekend away.

Living through the Coronavirus we were unable to go abroad so chose to go to York for a few days to get away...stayed at the York Aparthotel and so glad we did.A great location away from the very busy town but only a 5/10 minute stroll away from heart of town centre..although bars and cafes on the doorstep too.Apartment was very clean and very modern..so much better having an apartment than an hotel room any day..!! A lot of money must have went in to building these apartments and it shows. Complementary tea,coffee,hot chocolate etc and toiletries too. I would definetly stay here again for sure.

We stayed for a night. The adults slept on the sofa bed and the kids upstairs in the bedroom. The apartment was lovely and clean and it was very practical having the little kitchen. The shower was nice and powerful. Generally located - we had a brill time here in York. Thanks

We arrived a little earlier than the scheduled booking in time. There were two female cleaners who were so friendly and approachable. They helped us to book in and showed us the best places to park. The apartment it’s self was very clean and spacious. The cleaner told us we had milk, water and cereal which I thought was a lovely touch. We brought a travel iron because it wasn’t listed as an item that was included but we didn’t need to because there was everything already in there! The only flaws were that we went on a really hot weekend and I thought the air conditioning was poor. I couldn’t feel it at all which meant we had to open the window in the bedroom for some air. The only problem with this is that the apartments are based next to a pub so it was noisy. Again, this wouldn’t usually be a problem for a young couple but I am pregnant so the loud noise from next door at 1am wasn’t great! :( overall for the price and location I would come again. I just think the parking should be available to book when guests book the room.

I only stayed for one night, the place was very clean with well equipped kitchen and quality bathroom.The wall-mounted unit didn’t work for heating but the fan heater was enough to keep me warm.

Exactly as advertised. Inside of apartment matches photos perfectly. Excellent communication and very flexible. We had a lovely nights stay, it is in a perfect location and the extra touches of breakfast cereals, milk etc was lovely.

We booked this last minute and the apartment was in a great central location, 2 minutes walk from the train station. The apartments are small and cosy. The beds are extremely comfortable. Our only comments were that we hadn't received any directions as to how to access the apartment and fortunately a member of staff was on-site to assist after we had been to the adjoining bar to ask. The bathroom had a sewerage smell which meant the entire apartment was a little smelly.

Hi LauraThank you for your comments as regards access details these were sent to you at 12.51 even though check in isn\'t until 2pm. The smell, you should have reported to the maid you met on arrival or myself, I could have changed your room or resolved the smell, occasionally if the apartment is empty for a number of days the water in the U bend dries up, allowing the drain smell to exhaust. normally after the sink or shower has been used the smell disappears.

I have now been staying here regularly for four years. The apartment has always been clean and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable work trip. Importantly, Richard has always been on hand by phone and sometimes in person to sort out any problems - almost always of my own making - such as not being able to remember how the keypad operates, or forgetting what to do about lighting. I have really appreciated the kindness and courtesy, and will definitely be recommending York Aparthotels to other colleagues, now that I have made my last trip. Warm thanks and good wishes.

A lovely apartment that is very central, of a very high standard and well equipped.Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.There is limited parking outside the property that cot £10 for 24hrs which we felt was good value.

Return visit to York Aparthotel - we’ve used it a few times and not been disappointed.We stayed for Christmas week - really handy location for getting anywhere in York city centre, convenient for the station and for visiting our family.Richard was prompt in sending us instructions by text and kindly upgraded us to flat 8.8 which was spotlessly clean and welcoming.The only thing that we failed to understand was the steam oven - our fault for not spending long enough reading the instructions.Area can be noisy at night due to the number of pubs around, but that’s the same for anywhere in the city centre.Will be using it again.

Great location close to station and restaurants and shops in Micklegate and quiet but very hi-tech and quite difficult to work heating and lighting also strong smell of cleaning products on arrival which was a bit off-putting. However if the apartment was warmer and smelt better on arrival we would have no hesitation in returning.

Extremely impressed with this accommodation. Even cereal in the cupboard and a pint of milk in the fridge . Fantastic will be back again !

An enjoyable stay in this very comfortable and centrally located apartment.Very well soundproofed, so noise from outside and adjacent apartments was not an issue.

As usual, I found the apartment clean, pleasantly appointed and comfortable. I have stayed regularly for nearly four years and never been disappointed.

I booked this place due to its facilities and location.On arriving, there was lots of diversions in place due to the soapbox event being run on the Monday. It became harder to find but we did.It is important to reserve parking at the place as parking is not only very expensive but also very restricted. 3 hours and no return. NCP is local but £24 for the 24 hours. Need to factor that in to your budget.The apartment is very clean and well presented. Everything you could possibly wantThere is limited parking outside which if there was painted lines you maybe able to squeeze another space on there.I would have no hesitation to stay here especially if you travel to yours by rail. If going by car, I may look for another place to include parking to take the hassle out. This isn't a fault of the apartments, this is a problem created by the council.

Third time at this apartment we love it so much. A few mins walk from the train station and has parking if you drive. Clean cosy and stylish apartment our stay was perfect. The apartments are 5 mins from the centre of York. Their were lots of complimentary extras. Superb!!!

Great place to stay for 2 or 3 days. Superb central location. A well fitted out little apartment that might get a little confining during a longer stay. Excellent use of the space available made in its layout. Could do with a couple of proper dinner plates and a salt cellar.Air con operation a bit of a mystery.Pub next door can make nights a bit noisy. Overall though a good place to stay.

We booked two apartments for ourselves and two friends everything was very good in modern apartments the owner was always available via text or phone and Rebecca who was on site is very friendly and helpful. The only negative was nearby building work but there’s nothung the owner can do about that and it didn’t bother us at all. Definitely recommend these apartments.

I loved this place. The location is fantastic, it's right next to everything, and considering you get the whole apartment to yourself for the same price (if not cheaper) than a hotel room- it's a real bargain. Everything is very clean and tidy and during our stay there was complimentary refreshments left for us, right down to milk in the fridge and ice in the freezer- a very nice touch. The door code system is very cool, it makes it very easy to check in and out without the hassel of key handovers/ deposits, or worry of losing the key. Would definitely recommend.

The York Apart Hotel is a great place to stay in York, close to the train station and to downtown.Checkin was messy as it is done online, and I did not receive any email or test with information about which apartment I was to stay in, and what the door code was. Fortunately I was able to meet with someone cleaning the rooms, so i got the information through her.The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a lot of high-tech devices. Unfortunately I could not close the bedroom blinds as the remote control was missing.Other than those little annoyances, it was a great place to stay.

Last minute decision to stop over for Pride. This wee apartment was just what we needed. Clean, modern, had everything we needed and although next to a pub which was quite lively early to mid eve, by bed time it was quiet and we had a lovely nights sleep. Nice and fairly central and up a backstreet meant it was accessible but out the way of the majority of traffic and people. Would stay again 😊

Stayed here over the Dante Festival at York Racecourse. Booked this appartment as a surprise for my other halfs 21st birthday and we were both very pleased with our stay. Unfortunately we arrived later than expected but I was sent clear instructions over text and email of how to use everything in the appartment such as door code, air conditioning etc. And left a number if we ever needed to get in touch. Appartment was very clean upon arrival with essentials provided. I was a little weary of the other reviews which featured complaints of noise on a Thursday night.. we both had no issue with noise complains and with having the window open due to very hot weather. You could hear people in the pub next door but nothing to complain about. Very very pleased with our stay at York Apart Hotel and would defiantly recommend!

Great location. Right now there is alot of construction across the road so be prepared to listen to that early morning until its finished but the place is great for a short stay and very clean. Will be back.

We stayed for 3 nights in apartment 8.3. It was cosy and warm with everything you needed for a short stay. When we arrived we were early but Richard let us check in early anyway. The cleaner Rebecca was friendly and welcoming and even got an extra single put up bed for our little boy. Would stay again.

On arrival we were met by the maid who was more than helpful with our questions. Apartment was very nice, extremely clean, a few provisions to get us started. Overall very impressed. The owners were very nice and allowing us a later checkout time to see in the New Year and allowing us to leave our car there to enjoy the rest of our stay in York.

A return visit to York Aparthotel was great. This time we were in 8.8 which was really nice. The apartments are clean, warm and have everything you need to make breakfasts and cook meals. They are really well placed for exploring York, or like us visiting family. Thoroughly recommend York Aparthotel for your visit to York and surrounding area.

Beautiful apartment very high end, lovley and clean, fantastic location, a few little points as the apartment is of high end quality, we had the wrong tv remote, which enabled the tv in the lounge not to work,we had brand new bath towels upon using these the card labels was still attached, no hand towels supplied, need little touches like salt and pepper, there was fresh milk supplied with cereal if needed, if this is apartment is of high end quality with high end prices then this needs to be looked atOverall stay and location was excellent

This was great little one bed apartment right inside the walls and very close to all the sites and restaurants.We were able to park right outside (there is restricted parking and a £10 per 24 hour charge).Very comfortable bed and great to have a separate lounge/kitchen area downstairs.Air con was a must with the recent hot weather and it was quiet and did the job perfectly. Complimentary tea/coffee etc and even a pint of milk in the fridge so really good welcome experience.The front door works by keypad so no waiting around for someone to come with keys and the owner was able to let us in a couple of hours early just with a quick phone call.Would definitely recommend this as a great choice for staying in York.

Good location, nice size, good selection of tea, coffeewith milk and cereal etc. Well specified apartment. Parking is tight at the front, need a small car. There is a bar next door with a lot of outside noise during the day if the weather is nice, didn't disturb during the evening (with the window closed). Air conditioning unit is on the stairs so doesn't cool bedroom just downstairs. No bedding for sofa bed but quickly provided (within hour) when requested. Generally good with a few niggles.

We booked last minute when another property in York let us down. Lovely apartment in great location with just a short walk into Centre and we received a very warm welcome from Rebecca who arranged for us to drop off our bags.If you need parking you must arrange in advance, we hasn’t realised and parked in NCP just down the road, although we did receive a 40% discount card from Rebecca.

If we’ll be returning to York one day, we definitely would stay at these apartments again!Firstly, very convenient location if you’re coming by train - you won’t need a cab or drag your luggage across the town - it’s only 7min walk from the station! And when at the Apartment, the old town centre is another 10min walk away.Secondly, an excellent customer service:Richard, the guy coordinating our stay, kindly allowed us to drop off our luggage at the Apartment while it was being prepared / cleaned, as we’ve arrived much earlier than the official check-in time! Same favour on our last day! - normally we would have to check-out by midday but we were allowed to keep our bags in the room till later afternoon, shortly before our train departure!And we loved the Apartment itself! The private entrance with smart lock! - no need to worry about having or losing keys / door card - you enter by using a unique entry code. The layout of the living space is over two levels, what makes the whole place feel much bigger than the standard hotel room we normally have been staying at numerous times.The Studio had everything we required: hairdryer, coffee machine, bottle of water in the fridge etc. Also, the apartment felt very clean and fresh!We’d like to thank the whole your team making our stay in York a pleasant experience!SincerelyDainius & Iona

The apartment is very central, it is very clean with all mod cons, a very comfy bed, and I liked the fact that there were breakfast supplies and toiletry supplies, just what you need for an overnight stay.

We recently had a one night visit and found the apartment well located inside the city walls and close to York station and the city.The apartments are compact 2 storey with excellent fixtures furnishings and facilities. Certainly more pleasant than a hotel room and highly recommended.

There were issues initially with getting hold of the owner but, once contact was eventually made, everything else was absolutely fine - he even up-draded us because of the contact issues. The apartment was excellent and we'll stay there again if ever we return to Tork.

We visit York on a regular basis and over the years have stayed at many different hotels/apartments but this is by far the best option in terms of quality, location and value for money. The apartments are decorated to the highest specifications with high-end, modern quality fittings. They are also a stone's throw from Micklegate, so right in themiddle of everything - it is only a short walk to The Shambles/Minster etc. The booking process is also very quick and easy and the staff we have met all seem really polite and helpful. We won't be staying anywhere else from now on!!

Well equipped apartment.The sloping roof was a challenge as we are both tall,but once in bed it was very comfortable.Location very good for station, and walking around the city. An enjoyable time.

Fantastic place to stay

Clean and indipendent place. within the Yiork's wall, it is very close to the railway station of York.whenI will be back in York for business I will book here again!

Fantastic location. 10 minutes to most places.The apartment was very clean and extremely well kitted out!It was good to be able to store on luggage on checkout day.I will return

We enjoyed our one night in the York apartment.It was in a good location near the train station, and central for accessing all the major sights of the city. Communication was OK with the owner, and the keypad entry system worked well. We stayed with our 8 year old son, who was very comfortable on the sofa bed. It was a little noisy in the night, due to a nearby student nightclub, but this didn't disturb us greatly.The amenities in the flat were good with tea/ coffee etc provided, and you could happily stay a few days here.The only downside was the fact that we had to contact the owner as we had only 1 large towel and no bedding for the sofa bed despite choosing the2 adults and 2 children option when booking.We text and left a voice message for Richard, but we never had a response.Luckily we saw a cleaner at another apartment and asked her for bedding and towels.When we returned later, the bedding was there, but only 1 extra hand towel, so we had to manage with that which was ok for 1 night.The lighting system is quite high tech but took a bit of getting used to. Maybe a small laminated instruction sheet would be useful?All in all, we would recommend this accommodation due to location and amenities, but would like to see improved communication and response to occupants messages!

We were looking for a place to stay at short notice in York. Most of the hotels and guesthouses were a lot more than we were willing to pay, until we found the Apart Hotel. The price for 1 night and the administration was excellent.The check-in and check-out service were straightforward, and the Aparthotels have a great location near the city centre. The questions we had were quickly answered and the staff are all really friendly.Our only gripe was the heating and lighting controls were a bit faffy. Maybe a few more instructions might be helpful. But, nevertheless these did not detract from our experience whatsoever as we cannot rate the Aparthotels anything but 5 stars!Highly recommended to all tourists visiting York!Many thanks!

Only stayed for 1 night, apartment was very clean and welcoming.. even had milk in the fridge for a cuppa! Bed really comfy and shower fantastic. Would certainly stay again.

Absolutely ideal for me: very close to the office I was visiting and the station; real air available through the velux window in the bedromm; very compact and well-designed: good use of space and light; own front door; everything I needed and easy to use. Absolutely loved it. Literally oculd not fault it, had an amazing stay in York and York Apart Hotel played a massive part in that. As a young couple it was perfect for us lovely open plan sitting room and kitchen to go up a small flight of stairs to a double bed and bathroom. Very modern and clean and the only downfall was the fact I only booked 1 night not 2.

Have stayed here numerous times. Love the compact but convenient design. Very comfortable bed. Location could hardly be better. Totally hassle free check in.

Great location for train station and for bars and restaurants in Micklegate. Short walk to city centre. Neat, tidy, clean, well planned modern apartment, comfortable bed and good shower.

The apartments are in a perfect location for visiting York city. Close to the city walls and and an easy walk to the Minster and the Shambles.The rooms a beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Our only small issue was that the technology regarding the lighting system flummoxed my mum and we couldn'tfind how to turn the hot water on. But the owner is extremely helpful.

We stayed with two kids - aged 4 and 11 months. This place is fantastic and perfectly suited us. There was enough space in the apartment for them to play after a day out, a much needed laundry as any parent of small kids would know, and kitchenette for making simple meals for them. Amenities are fabulous for adults; hot hot shower and comfortable bed. Location is close to great coffee (Brew &a Brownie), and of course all the great York sights.

Myself and my partner really liked this apartment. It was close to all the shops and attractions. Although there is a club and a pub next to the apartment buildings we heard very little when we were inside. Overall a wonderful stay and we will stay here again!

The accommodation was really well-equipped, facilities of an excellent standard and so much tidily fitted in such a bijou space!Location central to all the delights of York.The only irritation was the noisy barrel delivery at the pub next door at 6.30am on Easter Monday, but at least we were cosy in the lovely comfy bed!

The apartments are new and have very modern, good quality facilities - well equipped kitchenette, great shower, very comfortable bed. Thoughtful touches like milk, coffee, tea, cereal and a range of toiletries that you do not always find in apartments. Owner/manager very welcoming and helpful. Close to station, good restaurants, the walls, and a short walk to central area.It is next to a pub back area though we did not find this a problem on a Sunday night stay. Lights all controlled by panels, which can glow a bit in the dark.Overall a very comfortable stay, in well equipped accommodation.

A nicely appointed and good value apartment. It's is however quite noisy until the early hours due to its locations near bars.

I have been staying regularly for some months now, and remain impressed by the standard of provision in the apartments, and the willingness of Richard to make alterations where necessary (thank you for a simplified lighting system!)

Used these apartments as a base for our weekend city break for which there location was perfect.We had no problems getting into the apartment and on arrival everything was as stated on the website.Apartment clean and tidy with everything done to a high specification and the kitchen had everything you could possibly imagine needing on your break and more!It's difficult to find something to complain about but if we had to find something that could be improved upon then we would have to agree that the sofa whilst ideal in size wasn't the most comfortable for relaxing and chilling out on.Great apartment, great weekend would definitely use again and recommend.

We stayed 28/12/2016 as a last minute break, booked the night before.We were in touch with the owner who was quick to reply to advise they were away and put us in touch with Vicky who met us on arrival and was extremely helpful and friendly!The apartment it's self was fantastic! The facilities provided were excellent, it had everything we could ask for and more!We were extremely impressed by all the mod cons as well! Much better than any apartments we have previously stayed in.Great value for money and would highly recommend.The parking spaces out front were quite tight however it was a huge bonus to have parking within York so we couldn't complain!The apartment was in a great location, just a short walk to the center with plenty of pubs on the way!We will 100% be back in 2017!

Vicky from Yorkhotel contacted us early the day of our arrival, giving clear, detailed instructions of self check-in, usage, amenities provided, etc.Splendid location, about 5-min walk from train station.We found the apartment just as described, with modern amenities, clean and comfortable. There were even snacks, extensive toiletries, stylish dinner ware provided.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Could not find the instruction booklet so was unable to turn up the heating and struggled to work out the lighting system. Bed was very comfortable. Could have done with a second bath towel and a non slip mat in shower room. My husband found the floor very slippery when wet and nearly fell. Was charged for parking when we did not use it. Please see my reply to invoice. otherwise enjoyed our stay.

Staying here regularly has improved my business trips. Ireally appreciate the thought which has gone into the design of the apartments. Anything which needs sorting out is always dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

Modern, well equipped apartment. Very close to the station and 10 minutes walk to town centre. Great bars and restaurants nearby. Helpful welcoming staff.

Clean. Ultra modern and full of gadgets and tech. Double headed shower has to be the best shower I have ever had. Everything provided.. from cooker/microwave.. fridge freezer.. coffee machine.. coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, cereal... and excellent WiFi. The bed was comfy and clean. TVs positioned well in the upstairs and downstairs. Plenty of power sockets including USB charging points throughout. Lots of mirrors - all positioned in sensible places and were very useful. Loved the touch buttons and remotes for various mood lights.. and even the palm activated door code putside.. all added that extra modern luxurious feel. £10 extra for safe on the doorstep parking was well worth it too. The owner was there and welcomed us warmly and nothing was too much trouble. We will be definitely be visiting again.

Excellent facilities and loads of Character. All you need in the accommodation is included. A little annoying you get charged for parking if honest. Loads of mod cons however couldnt work out how to turn lights of on heating system which are very bright. Quite noisey from local bars if staying at weekend. Still a great stay and great accommodation lovely comfy bedding.

Three of us (wife, myself and 5 year old duaghter) stayed three nights in this very cosy, well fitted out 2-level apartment. Loction within city walls, very close to rail station and 5 minutes from York Minster was really convenient. Furtniture and fittings very good. Thoughtful provision of food supplies. Only a couple of minor complaints - there are quite a lot of led lights that can't be turned off (annoying when trying to go to sleep, which was not helped by noisy Saturday night pub and night club next door) loose toilet seat not fixed during stay.

Found everything to be spot on lovely accommodation done to a high standard even having USB sockets available to charge your phones only negative we appeared to have a family above us and we constantly heard heavy footsteps or running not great at 7am on a Sunday morning

Good location, close to train station & central York. Well appointed kitchen. Small complaint- Some of the settings & instructions were overly confusing or absent. But nothing too serious. Modern bathroom with powerful shower. Comfortable bed. However, being next to a pub, it was a little noisier than hoped.

It's lovely but myself and my partner had to leave early as the noise from the pub next door was too much for us to get any sleep. Then once we fell asleep around 3am k then got woken up by the 6am barrels delivery. We left after one night.After a very long car journey it was a disappointment.

The furnishing of the apartments is done with taste and care, to a very high standard The location is central and despite being close to evening entertainments it is surprisingly quiet and feels very safe. I appreciate the personal attention given via email and text by the owners.

We very much enjoyed our 5 days staying in the apartment.The apartment is nicely planned out which included a comfy bed, lovely bathroom and a well equipped kitchen area. We did however find the bed-seatee too small for 2 adults to sit on after an exhausting sightseeing day.It wasn't very relaxing.Every thing else was great!

A great apartment with parking outside. Very comfortable with all the mod cons. A 15 minute walk to York Centre. We didn't want for anything. The owners were helpful but unobtrusive although only a phone call away. All in all a lovely few days in a lovely apartment.

Wires down, trains cancelled, stranded in York. Last minute rescue by York Aparthotel and what a discovery!Can't fault our little apartment for anything - spotlessly clean, comfortable, every piece of kitchen requirement you could want and a pint of milk! Quality bedlinen and towels, lovely bathroom, and such a comfortable bed. My only complaint, and it's not one really, is that I'd prefer a light switch on the wall to a computerised system where you push a range of buttons hopefully.... but I'm sure lots of people will love the high-tech.Loved our stay, and we'll come again for a longer visit.

This place is up there with the best accomodation we have stayed in. The location is perfect. Check in was done in seconds over the phone. Met the cleaner tina and the security man, who where both helpful and professional. We will certainly be back 😀.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights and we could not believe how amazing everything was, from start to finish. We would definitely recommend here to everyone. It's a short walk away from the centre and attractions. The apartment it's self was beautiful and immaculate. We will definitely be staying here again soon.

Stayed here for one night, which was too short. Spec 5* and that comes through when you meet the owner Richard who is very accommodating and helpful. Only down side, bars nearby can be noisy and the first floor apartment would benefit from black out blinds, however not really an issue. Would without doubt rebook.

Hi UrsulaThe delux is the best of our apartments, the original building dates back 200 years with beams and a full stretched window of which we maintained the same original style, I was informed the reason for the feature window was that the building would have been used as a workshop giving natural light.We normally achieve a 5/5 for this apartment ?Mal & Richard

Fantastic. Perfect location. Exceptionally high standard. Just very very nice. We would have no hesitation in booking a short or long stay EXCEPT - in the summer months the blind / curtain at the window floods the room with sunlight obviously from a very early hour. I would give it 11/10 otherwise. I would stay without any hesitation. Obviously away from early sunrises - absolutely perfect. Thank you.

Nice place to stay...lively clean modern apartments...with all mod consOnly thing we were told the owner Richard what time I was arriving and was promised he would meet us thier.In arrival no one thier no one even answeing the phone number we were given so had to stand out in the rain for 35 minutes before the cleaner turned up and even then we had to asked her to let us in.Needs better organisation in my opinion as the amount of money you pay you should be better looked after

Hi JacquelineI do apologise for this isolated incident where the issue was my phone had overcharged and faulted, of which I was getting a while you wait fix. I hold my hands up on this and very sorry, I now carry a backup phone just in case,and now operate a self checking via your own pin code. we do our best to offer early check in but can\\\'t always guarantee the clear or I will be there that early.Richard

A beautiful hideaway , great location , everything you need very local .. Very disappointed to find the waste bin full of rubbish and the downstairs used as a store room for towels , bed sheets and tea and coffee usage .

Hi GarryI was disappointed you did not tell me this on your arrival when I asked to report any issues of Whig you did not. Why on earth did you not report this.The issue was in it was a last minute booking and my cleaner had only 90% completed the room hence the spare bedding, this was due to having yo collect her son from school and the room was not booked at that Piont so she was simply going to finish it the next.Otherwise the rooms are cleaned to 5 star standard. This was simple human error and would have been immediately resolved had you simply told me.Please take my advice and report any future issues you have with the hotel your staying rather than writing bad reviews.Please give the hotel a chance!

The host couple are very kind,and patient to solve my problem, but they also too busy to arrangment people in traveling period, may next should book and connect with them early.店主夫妇非常和善，热心的帮我解决入住问题，一直笑容满面让我十分安心，只是入住的时候遇到了一些小麻烦，私家经营的两人根本忙不开，建议提前联系，得到准确信息之后会方便很多以防麻烦。

Apartment was compact with modern electronics that took some getting used to. Sloping ceiling in bedroom made access to bed difficult on one side. Cleaning team were lovely; quick and helpful.

This is my second stay here.As the first time - just amazingly good.I had previously been alone, on this occasion I stayed with a friend.As good for two as for one.Excellently appointed and well laid out.The place is recently renovated and the design and execution of the work is second to none.Further, the booking process is easy and communication is top notch.I cannot recommend it highly enough.If you need to stay in York, whether on business or pleasure - this is the place to stay. Top marks in all department.

Our stay was fantastic, The owners/staff were more than welcoming and helpful. The expanse of technology used was phenomenal from the simple things of entrance to the casual living of lights and decoration. This would be a perfect stay for anyone looking for a homely yet very different experience of the central city of York. It is perfect for anyone with the intrigue of horse racing as it is just a 25 minute walk to the racing grounds and is very close to many of the other attractions and amenities.

I found this when looking for a last minute trip to York. The location is ideal of travelling by train/public transport to the city, and a short walk from the centre. The apartment we stayed in had everything you would need, clean and tidy. We usually stay in hotels/guest houses, but enjoyed the freedom of having our own space and able to cook for ourselves if we wanted.The owner was friendly and helpful and well certainly book here again when returning to York.
